Default trump Again Panders to the uneducated deplorables.

this stuff is easy to google but the real loss of mfg jobs has more to do with automation than china or mexico. educated people know this but they are not who trump wants to pander to. http://www.politifact.com/punditfact...teel-industry/

    Excellent point! Good link.

This is not particular to the metal manufacturing jobs. Jobs in general are under constant pressure from automation...much more than from the cheapness of labor in third world countries.

Fact is, if the technology continues at its present pace...even labor (jobs) in third world nations will be under pressure...because machines, robots, computers (where they can be used) will always be more productive and less expensive than human labor.

American conservatives have always been naive...and addicted to simplistic solutions to complex problems.

They are out-doing themselves right now.

Of course I do. Unlike you. The way you are rattling on about things of which you know nothing about makes you a dream voter for the Democrat party.

Still drooling there Andrew? Do not understand or see the link between raw materials and automation? Or how much automation that is not used in this country? Please tell me, what profound occupation do you have? Certainly nothing that adds or contributes to society, but I digress.

Actually the US steel industry is converting to electric arc furnaces at a rapid rate so if you have a point make it.
