Default Even Trump's Closest Allies Are Starting to Worry About His Erratic Behavior

No shit? I'm also worried too?!!

Something is very wrong with the president.

President Donald Trump’s erratic behavior has started to spook even some of his staunchest allies.

One Trump ally tells CNN’s Gloria Borger [3] that the president’s hasty decision to announce tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum on Thursday showed that his economic advisers are no longer able to control his impulses.

“This has real economic impact,” the source says. “Something is very wrong.”

Another inside source tells Borger that the president’s behavior is crushing morale among White House staff, who are itching to escape from the West Wing.

“Morale is as bad as it’s ever been,” the source said. “The good people are being driven crazy.”

Borger also writes that it isn’t just one thing that is bothering Trump — rather, he is constantly enraged by multiple different things being done by multiple people inside and outside his administration.

“The President is stewing, according to one source with knowledge, blaming everyone but himself for the tumult: his chief of staff Gen. John Kelly for mishandling the clearance issue, Jeff Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia investigation, Republicans for being afraid of the NRA, Democrats for obstructing everything,” Borger writes.

Retailers: “Make no mistake, this is a tax on American families," Matthew Shay, president of the National Retail Federation, said in a statement. "When costs of raw materials like steel and aluminum are artificially driven up, all Americans ultimately foot the bill in the form of higher prices for everything from canned goods to electronics and automobiles. The reality is that there is nothing this country will gain from such a one-sided policy. These tariffs threaten to destroy more US jobs than they will create while sending an alarming signal to our trading partners and diminishing markets for American-made products overseas.”

Machinery manufacturers: Caterpillar’s director of investor relations, Amy Campbell, told Reuters that the tariffs would pose a “challenge” and would put Caterpillar at a competitive disadvantage with foreign competitors.

US business groups: “Business Roundtable strongly disagrees with today’s announcement because it will hurt the U.S. economy and American companies, workers and consumers by raising prices and resulting in foreign retaliation against U.S. exporters," Joshua Bolten, president of the influential Business Roundtable, said in a statement.

“Using ‘national security’ tools to implement tariffs could embolden other countries to impose ‘national security’ tariffs on U.S. exporters or otherwise restrict U.S. goods and services sold to their markets.”

That's stupid. The steel industry is the one industry that will benefit. If you look at the stocks you will see that they are pretty much the only associated industry that the stock prices are rising.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

He is insane and he is coming unglued.
We are all in deep, deep trouble.
We have the intellect to imagine the finality of our own demise but do not have the sophistication to overcome our survival instinct and accept it.
Solution? Magical thinking and childish promises of everlasting life.
    Ergo, religion.

    rac·ist

a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
Ask yourself honestly if this describes what you believe to be true.
If the answer is yes, you are a racist.

Every American will pay for this trade war in the price of products. This will erase any gains made by the temporary tax cuts tenfold.

I mean, there are literally hundreds of examples at this point of this Orange Hog coming unglued, being unstable, and lying his ass off. It is not even open for debate.

The fact that he called Hope Hicks into his office and called her "stupid" may seem like a minor thing, but it is a metaphor to me. I have never, ever had a boss call me "stupid". Who the fuck would work for a boss like that? This is the year 2018, you do not get to call your closest and most loyal employees "stupid" to their face unless there is something really wrong with you as a functioning, stable, human being.

It is like clockwork that Trump will do something outrageous . This week, Hope quits, Trump threatens a tariff war, and instead of tweeting about that, berates Baldwin. Jared and Ivanka are supposed to be on the way out after a year on not qualifying for clearances. Both were using their positions to get business deals. Putin released a video claiming he has a new nukes that cannot be stopped. Total silence from Trump.ore interested in Baldwin.
