Default North Korea is ready to hold talks with US

Looks like Trump's strategy is paying off.

Ivanka Trump sat within inches of a key Kim Jong-un aide at the spectacular Winter Olympics closing ceremony today as it emerged North Korea was ready to hold talks with the United States.

The First Daughter was seated near Pyongyang General Kim Yong Chol as the pair were both guests of honour of South Korean leader Moon Jae-in.

Kim is accused of masterminding the sinking of the South Koran war ship Cheonan that killed 46 sailors and the artillery bombardment of a South Korean island that killed four people.

And it has now been claimed North Korea is ready to open dialogue with the United States.

The Blue House, South Korea's presidential office, reported the news during the games' closing ceremony. It did not immediately have further details.

The United States and North Korea, which have no diplomatic relations and are technically in a state of war after an armistice in 1953, have been at odds for decades.

In recent months the war of words between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump has escalated as the North tests nuclear missiles and Washington pushes it to disarm.

Ivanka and key Jong-un aide Kim did not appear to interact when South Korean President Moon Jae-in shook hands with dignitaries at the beginning of the ceremony.

Looks like potential good news is not important.

Of course it's important. We just have to see what comes of it.

I just read your thread and responded immediately. As I said, it is important, any relief of tensions is important. Not only to us, but the world.

    Some despicable tub-thumping spin there, maggot. Paragraph one;

North Korea has been shipping supplies to the Syrian government that could be used to make chemical weapons, say United Nations investigators.
What's that then- a crate of big spoons and some Bunsen burners ?
    War-mongering, prosemitic twat.

Funny how the UN is the final arbiter for you, up to and till when, they diverge from your pro-Shi'ite propaganda offensive.

The items provided by North Korea reportedly included acid-resistant tiles, valves and thermometers. Investigators also detailed sightings of North Korean technicians working at chemical weapons and missile facilities inside Syria.

The possible chemical weapons components were part of at least 40 previously unreported shipments from North Korea to Syria between 2012 and 2017 of prohibited ballistic missile parts and materials that could be used either for civilian or military purposes. The UN declined to comment on the report, which was written by a panel of eight experts tasked with checking North Korea’s compliance with sanctions. It may never be publicly released, but a spokesperson stressed that the “overarching message is that all member states have a duty and responsibility to abide by the sanctions that are in place.”

Experts who reviewed the document for the Times described it as the most detailed account to date of efforts to circumvent sanctions intended to curb the military powers of both countries.

You've just stated that ' the UN declined to comment on the report '. Even Brexiteers can't be buttered both sides.
