So sad. The ball was dropped by so many adults that day and the days leading up to it. No wonder the kids are marching.

I just saw this on the evening news.

Jarod, You’re getting worse and worse on here. Nearing deshdom.

The guy possibly could have prevented some of the killing. Truth is we’ll never know. Sad deal.

Cheap shot. I’m not seeing either side come up with to many constructive ideas. Most aren’t even addressing the problems. So I have no hope, for the immediate future, that anything productive can be done given the hyper partisan climate we currently have.

We need to arm teachers... but the armed officer on scene did nothing! If we only had someone armed at the school argument out the window!

The truth is the event was over in three minutes... it’s silly to argue that arming teachers would make a significant difference.

Actually that is not true and in fact you're making the case for armed guards.

He did nothing. Likely cowardice. But he could have done something and possibly prevented that many deaths.

If he had a duty to act and did not, he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Teachers are far less qualified than that guard was. You ask a lot to expect a guard to walk into a rapid fire situation. You ask more of a teacher. The whole idea is just stupid. Who pays for the bystanders hospital costs after a shootout? Who pays for the law suits? This is another gun nuts lack of logic and inability to think things through.

I personally believe it is more of a culture issue than a gun issue. Though making access to high magazine round weapons more difficult, does seem to have e a valid point.

Not at the level of trolling Jarod is doing. It sucks hearing this story. You have people with no weapons giving up their lives to save others. And this guy who was armed wouldn't do his job. Terrible

So no armed security anywhere then because people could die?

That is an armed guards duty.
