Security officers period. Teachers carrying guns is nuts, the liability would be great, what
if a teacher ends up killing kids in a situation shit will hit the fan.

Really? Grammar, High school and college?

Are they to get special training in how to handle emergency situations? Are they to be given intense background scrutiny (psych evaluations)? Who's going to pay for this, because teachers across the land are hard pressed just to keep stationary and other necessities for their classroom. Now suddenly there's money for a gun?

    GMAFB!
Teachers already go through numerous background checks and are trained for emergencies. Are you suggesting you trust these people with children but not the proper handling of a firearm?

And what is your solution? Oh ya ban all guns and disarm the populace.

Then it's time to ban public schools as your anecdote makes clear that teachers can not be trusted with children.

This should have been done years ago. Teachers should be required to complete conceal carry training before they can start coursework for a masters degree.

The Bible. Matthew 10:26 ".....For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known". No. 1 ST. LOUIS MO. 2. BALTIMORE MARYLAND 3. DETROIT MICHIGAN, No surprises thus far. Next comes New Orleans La. then Cleveland Oh. then comes Newark New J. followed by Memphis Tn. before Chicago gets in line (but I did enjoy the method of accounting to get Chicago out of the top spot.....they measured murders PER CAPITA instead of just counting the dead on the streets). Kansas City is next, then Atlanta Ga. Milwaukee Wis. follows with Oakland and Cincy virtually tied.

Of source these numbers are skewed due to the accounting method of using Per Capita instead of just reporting the murders....as if it matters how many targets are needed before one gets murdered by the criminals who did not follow the gun regulations in those cities.

What do these cities have in common? They are run by democrats. http://www.truthrevolt.org/news/demo...cities-america

Restricting gun rights in these cities so the innocent could not have access to self protection worked? Really? Now we know where this old axiom comes from "The difinition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." Progressive my ass.

Adding guns into the equation is not going to solve the gun problem. Removing guns from the situation however will. By providing teachers with guns it opens up more opportunities for exploitation, than anything advantageous. The role of a teacher is to educate, not defend.

A volunteer quorum of teachers/staff based on student population for its size, who would be subject to rigorous, regular training-would be bad why?

You're the one promoting the idea that teachers can not be trusted with the safety of the children dipshit.

Ah I see disarming the law abiding populace will prevent crime, brilliant! You see people for these anti-Constitutional fascists it is not about actually having safer schools it is about banning guns. All guns.
