I'm certainly not justifying killing kids. I simply have a problem with the kids being coached and then put out there. I don't find walkouts and lying on the front lawn, or yelling speeches prepared by adults a way honor those who have tragically lost their lives. Or to make changes that will prevent this from happening again.

As for being "coached," this is another reason why no one believes that you used to be a teacher. Kids have opinions and minds of their own, and often supportive parents as well. If my kids wanted to take part in a civil action that they felt passionate about, I would support them as these parents are doing with their kids.
