The article isn't very good, it starts with the premise that anyone calling for gun regulation is coming from an extreme position, points one and two continue on to establish that scenario, which isn't true

Third point is minimal at best, why is it important to understand the mechanics of certain weapons to participate in a discussion on limiting those weapons? People know a AR15 kills a lot of people in a minimal amount of time and certainly doesn't belong in the hands of any eighteen year old kid, how does knowing the difference between a M16 and AR15 alter this understanding?

Student shoots self at Ohio middle school

MASSILLON, Ohio — A school official in Ohio says a middle school student apparently shot himself after bringing a gun to school.

Police say Jackson Middle School, near Massillon, is on lockdown Tuesday and that the students and staff are safe.

The school official tells The Independent newspaper that the student is being treated at a hospital.

So many of the gun control advocates don’t know that ‘assault weapon’ is a meaningless term. Sadly, including a majority of the kids protesting in FL.

But we could ban the scary looking guns with plastic stocks and see how that works.
