How did Columbine happen? The same way they all have been happening. Everyone knows a kid is having issues, everyone either does not care or is afraid of getting sued for saying something. These are the result of societal failures. Any weapon used is just tool to accomplish a goal in a sick mind.

But even that is beside the point and makes little difference, because there are exceptions to the law. Under certain conditions, people can obtain permission to carry guns on or near school grounds. In most cases, all you'd have to do is inform the police and work with them.

Just going to the grocery store puts you at risk for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and ending up as a dead corpse in a pool of blood on the floor because some deranged asshole decided that since he was mad about some failure in his personal life, he was going to go down and take as many others with him as he could.

You say nothing is going to change. As long as lazy-ass gun owners who are very adept when it comes to crowing and chest-thumping about "good guys with guns" protecting us from bad guys with guns from the safety of their keyboards continue to sit on their asses and do nothing but blow hot air, it won't change.

Prove your worth to society. Prove how beneficial and necessary the 2nd Amendment is.

Organize nationwide community action groups. Work with school officials and local police.
