Default FB Exec on the Russian ads

Most of the coverage of Russian meddling involves their attempt to effect the outcome of the 2016 US election. I have seen all of the Russian ads and I can say very definitively that swaying the election was *NOT* the main goal.

The Russian campaign is ongoing. Just last week saw news that Russian spies attempted to sell a fake video of Trump with a hooker to the NSA. US officials cut off the deal because they were wary of being entangled in a Russian plot to create discord.

I wonder just how much recent ‘news’ comes from Mother Russia.

US press is a bunch of fake news. I too saw the slant of meddling=interference=favoritism by the purveyors

I don’t know if it’s spying per se, but Russians have been election meddling for decades. We do it too, btw.

    What’s changed is the sophistication.

Sure it wasn't their main goal, adding distrust into the American election system was the aim, but by 2015 they realized getting Trump elected served their main goal, I do recall the President throughout his campaign reinforcing the same theme, "it's rigged"

You’re flat out denying evidence to support your conspiracy theory.

They never thought Trump would win they played both angles the difference is that the Clinton campaign through Steele and Fusion GPS actively colluded with Russian intelligence to disseminate Russian disinformation to the press, the FBI, and the DOJ.

    Put blame where it belongs
ATF decided it could not regulate bump stocks during the Obama administration.
It that time," the NRA wrote in a statement. "The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semiautomatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations."
The ATF and Obama admin. ignored the NRA recommendations.
