Nice to see you understand that the use of this kind of language is a way to avoid the meat of the discussion. I'm surprised that the people who use it most often are even aware of this.
Duh. Assuming things about people by their names is one sign of it.is there racism ?
No. It seems to be detrimental as one side seems to try to paint all of the racism in one huge stereotype.does the republican party benefit from it?
I've always been Damocles. From p.com to jpp.com, always the same person.Prove you are Damo and not grind with your answer
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

Martian confirmed he is running as a Democrat; however he hopes voters will see his platform before his party affiliation. "We need to look at whomever ends up going and say - that's the kind of person that we want there, is that the kind of person that will give us information, or is that the kind of person who will give us propaganda?" He went on to say that if elected he refuses to be controlled by one party or another; instead he will work for the people of South Dakota.
Why is he running as a dem? The people in SD vote republican.
He's using the dem party to run because the republican name has been tarnished.
He should run as a independent.
That's my bad, it was Billie Sutton and he's running for Governor not Senator. The story was in last week's The Economist.
And LOL, how did I lie about Tom Steyer? I posted the Matier & Ross column that said he was the campaign Feinstein fears most. It didn't guarantee he would run.
My post still stands with any Politian who runs as a dem, but will vote with the republicans.
If they are embarrassed to run as a republican, they should run as an independent.
South Dakota is run by republicans in the state legislator, house and senate.
A dem governor won't really have any leverage.
but you are not the same man I used to know
facts were clear to you back then
now you fall for fake news
the republican party is the racist party
that is the way most Americans of color see it
that is the way about half of white America sees it
pretending its not true is what about half of this nations white voters do
Families of color have enough children to replace themselves
white families don't have enough children to replace themselves
if that statement scares you
you are racist
if that fact doesn't scare you
it is doubtful you are a racist
facts
Says the person who demonstrably assumes things by the names they use. The reality is, racism is a problem in both parties. This urge to try to divide the United States by defining people by "race" is gross. The attempt to define a person into a specific box by the color of their skin is not just wrong it is idiotic.
And nobody at all is afraid of this, if they were they'd be having more children to "replace" themselves.

the vast majority of Americans see the republican party as the racist party
that is a FACT
the only people that say it is both parties are racists
pretending that is not so wont make it not so
Which is a sign that most people are willing to choose a jersey and stick with it, and that one party is better at messaging than the other. It doesn't change what I have stated. The problem exists both in the use of the assumptions about "race" to promote a divide and the use of the assumptions to generate action negative to a group. Each side has their own way of extending the problem, but the most inherently wrong action is the attempt to divide the United States into generic groupings based on these melanin differences in their skin.
