    Mind you- developments such as this keep interest in guitars flowing;

    Well the government seizing their wood for no reason didnt help. But relying on custom makes was a losing proposition. Clapton can afford 20k guitars but ho w mmm any does he need ?
    Damn shame.

    It would seem that Gibson are having quality control issues, which might go some way to explaining why they are in deep doo doo.

    *rock is dead..rock is dead* ( the Who)...I am so seriously bummed out from Petty's death -
    no more Heartbreakers concerts..my staple..they got me thru

    Jackson Browns is touring, but it's only acoustic, and ELO is doing some big world dates,
    but the ticket prices are sky high.

    RIP Tom Petty..you are missed

    Recorded onstage, backstage, in three different hotel rooms, and on a Continental Silver Eagle tour bus during a cross-country tour in 1977, the Running on Empty album is a paean to life on the road. The title track, along with
    "The Load-Out/Stay," was recorded live during a concert at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland on August 27, 1977.

    I got my Memphis ES 335 from Gino's Guitars in Italy. It's damned near perfect- so I wonder if they farm out any duds to the boondocks. Bad policy if they do.

    The name won't die regardless, it is far too iconic. Hopefully somebody will take them over and sort out the quality issues.

    I also saw BB King playing his famous ES at a North Sea Jazz festival, Dave Brubeck and Dizzy Gilespie.

    I'm good like that.
