The deranged shooters will take the hint.
To easy of a solution and destroys the ability of liberals to use the schools as springboard to their accolades toward banning firearms.

So...back to ground floor...ban all guns.

    Your simple solution is simple.

Why not park a cruiser at each school?
Are children not worth the cost?

    What about hardening the schools?

What about guarding the schools with specially trained guards, perhaps vets?

    I heard they need jobs.
I agree with all your suggestions.

I can't think of any better people to protect our children, are vets or retired Policemen.

Most Schools today are closed campuses. Place a guard at every entrance when school opens and then have a single entry after school starts.

I doubt any shooter is going to get past 3 or 4 armed guards, who have had tactical training.

GEE, this also looks "semi-automatic" to me.

But the point is weapons restrictions only go so far- and they are easily challenged as un-Constitutional.

That guys who shot up the black church in Charleston was making threats online and posing with Nazi paraphernalia.
That should be enough to take his guns, or at least mandate psychological follow up.
    And then take his guns

It's more effective and "more" Constitutional to go after the situations/persons of interests, then pass gun laws that effect everyone
But that's not the goal of gun grabbing Liberals. Their goal is full on gun confiscation.

Asshole commits a school shooting with an AR and liberals clamor for a ban on all ARs.

A different asshole commits a school shooting with a semi-auto pistol and liberals will then clamor for a ban on all semi-auto pistols.

Another asshole then commits a school shooting with revolvers and liberals will then clamor for a ban on all revolvers.

Then an asshole drives his car through a school yard full of children and liberals go silent.
