Default WH official says that Florida shooter shouldn’t have had a gun

Bit of an understatement there, is the White House just virtue signalling or do they mean to do something about it?

I don't know, raising the age to 21 would have stopped Cruz. How come you can buy a rifle with a supersized magazine at 18 but you have to be 21 to purchase a handgun?

I have an idea. Perhaps gun free zones can be established at schools and laws passed stating that it's illegal to murder another person. Surely, that will stop these types of things.

That’s an interesting question, who here is happy that Guy was allowed an AR 15?

Are you saying no one under 21 will ever own a rifle with a supersized magazine if a law is passed? Perhaps we can pass laws making schools gun free zone or making it illegal to murder someone. I'm sure those will work, too.

You don't have to 21 to purchase a handgun in my State. If you're a resident of the State, there isn't a reason as to why you can't legally own a handgun, and you'e 18 or older, you can purchase a handgun.

Havana, how would changing the age limit prevent the shooter from obtaining a gun? He was already planning on a criminal action- do you think a legal gun purchase was important? He was also planning on building a bomb. The point is none of his actions were legitimate. They were all done with criminal intentions.

The first thing they need to do is find out why and who in the FBI gave him a clean bill of health in their background check and fire their ass.....
then find out why and who in the FBI didn't follow protocol and find him before he shoot up the school and fire their ass too.....they had about 5 months to do it...

Or they could do what Obama did....7 years, 7 mass shootings, 7 distraught speeches

    Put blame where it belongs
ATF decided it could not regulate bump stocks during the Obama administration.
It that time," the NRA wrote in a statement. "The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semiautomatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations."
The ATF and Obama admin. ignored the NRA recommendations.

He would have to get one illegally, that's the difference.

Can you think of anyone who would have said he should have had a gun? Then again, if the gun huggers are correct, up until the moment he started firing, he was just another legal gun owner, and any regulation on AK15s would have made him lose his Second Amendment rights and taken away his freedom.

It's Florida, the GunShine State, guns are everywhere, it is a confused State caught between the 21st Century and it's good ole boy roots

Nothing personal there fogcatcher, but you really don't understand the gun culture in America, nor the laws, anyone can get a gun, access isn't a problem, even a person on a terror watch list who can't get on a plane can legally buy a gun
