The congressional baseball field shooter used an SKS 7.62 semi-automatic rifle. Yet I don't recall any leftwing uproar then. I guess it is the weapon's lack of a scary, frightening pistol grip

Nope, no uproar, no protests, no screams for gun control when it's a Republican who is shot.
