He was handsomely paid to "desperately stop Trump", and the memos he allegedly compiled from "Russian sources" were supposedly at least partially the work of Nellie Ohr and Fusion GPS, his DNC/Clinton campaign paymasters. He "discovered" a great deal of money in his bank account.
