Cool Julian Castro: 'I have every interest in running' for president in 2020

Julián Castro, the former mayor of San Antonio, Texas and secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Obama, says he has "every interest in running" for president in 2020.

Castro is expected to headline the New Hampshire Young Democrats Granite Slate Awards Dinner next Friday — a move that could mark the start of a 2020 bid. New Hampshire, which holds the country’s first presidential primaries, is usually a strong testing ground for candidates eyeing a presidential run.

"I have every interest in running" in 2020 for president, Castro told NBC News. "Part of the process of figuring out whether I'm going to run is going to listen to folks and feel the temperature of voters."

The event hosted by the Young Democrats is usually attended by a little more than 100 people. However, this year, interest has been so high they had to move the event to a larger venue. Tickets are selling for $30 to $2,500.

You voted for your black. You tried to get your vagina. Now, you move on to the Spic.

Why don't you lefties nominate a bisexual, transgender, mix-raced, hermaphrodite and roll all of the causes into one.

It's a good idea to people like you that use meaningless characteristics to pick you candidates.

Long shot as the front-runner. His best ticket in is as a VP on a ticket headed by a woman.

I like Harris as well, but she may end up as VP on a ticket.

A woman with actual principles. And in this climate, she should not only be an honest anti-establishment candidate but she should be a civil libertarian. Against NSA mass data collection, for internet privacy, for criminal justice reform, cannabis legalization, etc.

Just a woman won't win. Just a woman lost to an old white dude. Clinton should have proved to Democrats that just slapping some kind of minority up for the nomination won't work. She may have had a vagina, but she was unpopular, elitist, and corrupt.
