Currently, there are laws on the books related to drugs. You don't want them enforced.

OK. Hopefully one will affect the person you love the most so they can face the penalties after having done something you think they should be doing.

Besides, "drug pushers" WANT to keep drugs illegal.

Yes, Heroin users just harmlessly nod out. Unlike many alkies, who get violent when drunk.

I used to be against decriminalizing meth, pcp, and coke. But I've rethought my position since seeing the results of Portugal's decriminalization policy. I now think it's bettter to treat it all as a medical issue, ... not a criminal one.

You would like to have neo-nazis parade down the main street where you live?

"The fact that Americans speak about "legalizing" abortion, gambling, marijuana, and so forth shows that they no longer look down on their government as their servant but look up to it as their master. For to legalize is to permit; and to permit implies a relationship between a superior and a subordinate - as when a parent permits a child to go swimming, stay up late, or eat sweets after his meal." psychiatrist Thomas Szasz

We actually do this in the US. Its called drug court. Works about 50% of the time. However the other 50% are simple criminals who don't care or want to get better.

Yet you say the pot you think should be legal is solely within the confines of your home later admitting you drive with it on the PUBLIC roads.

You said it was solely within the privacy of your home later admitting you possessed on the PUBLIC roads. I believe your excuse was something to the effect of having no other way to get it home but drive it. Why should I believe you when you've already lied about the location of it?
