I corrected myself as soon as I posted. I meant "many" not "most." There are at least 7 that I know of that require some sort of ID, most likely a few more than that.

Some of those states specifically require photo ID, some will take non-photo ID as long as it's still government-issued like a birth certificate or SS card.
