Staying in Norway vs moving to US....

I was always thought the Norwegians I worked in with Texas had remarkable courtesy and social tact.

Never once did I hear them say Texas was a shithole, though undoubtedly some of them thought that. Unlike Trump, they evidently had the tact to be gracious and courteous.

You really should not make it a habit to leap to assumptions.
They were in Houston on temporary assignment from Statoil.
When you work in the international petroleum industry, you are generally expected to take temporary assignments overseas. They were not choosing to live in the U.S. permanently.
Is this beyond the comprehension of rightwing Trump-ettes?

Now, as for that assumption you so readily and speedily leaped to, I am sure you thought it was a huge "gotcha" moment for you --- but maybe you can take it as a lesson to refrain from automatically leaping to assumptions before you have a sufficient about of information.
