Trump golfing is the perfect picture as compared tp the abomination of him visiting a black community singing 'We Shall Overcome.'

The Republican Party is shrinking no doubt .. and this is what their fear is all about ..

AMERICAN HISTORY ITSELF IS A TESTAMENT TO THE STRENGTH AND RESILIENCE OF AFRICAN PEOPLE. WE, ALONG WITH THE COURGE AND SACRIFICES OF CONSCIOUS WHITE AMERICANS, LIKE VIOLA LIUZZO, EVERETT DIRKSEN, AND MANY OTHERS, HAVE FOUGHT AND DIED TOGETHER FOR OUR FREEDOM, AND FOR OUR SURVIVAL.

In America, rights are are not determined by what is just, fair, equitable, honest, nor by what Jesus would do. Rights are determined ONLY by what you can DEMAND.

I'm going boarding in Utah next month. Then to Leiden, Greece and Spain and many parts betwixt.

It makes me a world citizen, gives me perspective, makes me less racist.

It's a federal holiday. People can do whatever they want to do on any of them. One could even "go to the beach or play golf in Hawaii" if they wanted to on any of those holidays. The same federal holidays instituted by the federal government doesn't dictate or mandate participation........at least not yet. Have a wonderful MLK Day and remember the man's wonderful historical speech.
    Peace.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

I was shaking my head as I read it. She wants so badly not to be seen as a bigot, but she makes a statement like that to a post that is full of black, racists stereotypes. It’s why I groaned her post.

What was wrong with my post? What black, racist stereotype? You and Fowl need to relax...you would have benefited from the events I attended this morning. Everyone here would have.
What did you do today to honor Dr. King's memory, btw?

Not sure what that has to do with MLK Day, but anything that makes you less racist than you already are is certainly time well spent.

I follow his vision for America, I think that is far more important than what ceremony I attend to honor his memory.

Im not feeling well today, so I think I’ll stay home as to not contaminate others.

If you are ill, then thank you for staying home. I'm sure your local institutions of higher learning have wonderful programs, though, so keep that in mind for next year. Very very inspiring and an amazing mix of people...And a famous guy didn't hurt...
I follow Dr. King's vision for America as well. Probably longer than you have, since you're younger than I... That being said, I already knew that we had at least one thing in common that we don't care for at all. Now, we have something positive in common. It's a good day...
Feel better. Hope it's not the flu...
