College is work without pay; only a bully demands that. Fatcats love mice. Sadistic businessmen will only hire those who've humiliated themselves by living like teenagers afraid to grow up. Yet the rich give their brats plenty of money to live on in college. They better give the few of us who actually belong in college the same, or some day we will man up and make sure the richkids never graduate.

Under this class-biased indentured servitude, a college graduate has no right to his job. Are we supposed to feel sorry for the brownnosing wimp who sacrifices growing up in order to get ahead? He steals his position from somebody with more talent but too much self-respect to put himself through that childish, depressing, and insulting pseudo-opportunity just because the hypocritical plutocracy says so.

Meanwhile, it is often difficult to find a single qualified applicant to teach AP calculus. Union rules require a glorified babysitter to be paid the same as a person teaching a subject that is incomprehensible to many people.

It's why brain surgeons make more money than burger flippers. Understand?

He seems to be doing more for American workers in a year than his predecessor did in 8.
Jobs are more normally given to relatives of the boss, and bosses are very ill-equiped to predict the future or what people will be good at. The people they choose are normally subservient arse-lickers, which is what 'market conditions' create in vast numbers under monopoly capitalism. Private 'education' is not about people but the needs of industry and what parents will pay to buy their children advantages. The purpose of most private schools, as you know, is to get people fixed up with those who will favour their pupils against others. Brain surgeons don't particularly deserve what they get except that the very rich are weak in that area, as you know. Trump no more controls the capitalist market than he controls the weather - gamblers do, obviously - and doesn't give a whatsit for the clowns who elected him. If you don't know that you shouldn't be posting.

Too lazy to do a Google search or is this a "Trump needs to release his finances" post?

The University Is a Kindergarten for Adults

Children don't need to be paid. But if an 18-year-old isn't earning an adult income, he will never grow up. You trapped yourself by implying that college students have the same needs as pre-teens.

Quit blaming the parents. At least admit that it's been suggested for decades and hasn't had helped change things at all.

Take one of the few effective teachers, the basketball coach. Does he demonstrate a layup and then tell his team to go home and practice it, saying, "And I hope your parents care about your basketball skills by making sure you work at them"? Does he blame the kids' parents if his team can't win? The educationist Establishment, not the unions or the teachers, are to blame for dumbing down the nation.

    What are you on about?
I asked how much does parenting play into our education system. That is blaming?
