    This is because we have the insane policy of "birthright citizenship". Congress never wrote a law creating this insane policy - FEDERAL JUDGES DID, even though the constitution says only congress can write laws!!

    jan 9 2017Southern California apartment complexes that doubled as "maternity hotels" for Chinese women who want made-in-America babies were raided early Tuesday, capping an unprecedented federal sting operation, officials said.

    NBC News was on the scene as Homeland Security agents swept into The Carlyle, a luxury property in Irvine, California, which housed pregnant women and new moms who allegedly forked over $40,000 to $80,000 to give birth in the United States.

    None of the women were arrested; they are being treated as material witnesses, and paramedics were on hand in case any of them went into labor during the sweep.

    Instead, the investigation was aimed at ringleaders who pocketed hundreds of thousands of dollars tax-free to help Chinese nationals obtain visas and then pamper them until they delivered in an American hospital at a discount, court papers show.

    "It's not necessarily illegal to come here to have the baby, but if you lie about your reasons for coming here, that's visa fraud," said Claude Arnold, special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations for Los Angeles.

    All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

    that seems pretty clear cut to me. but then one has to take in to account is the bill of rights vague or specific.............ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

    The 14th amendment isn't in the Bill of Rights.

    If you read the intent of those writing it and take into account what had just happened in the time period when it was written, it isn't vague at all. It's quite clear the only intended purpose of those words and it wasn't to allow people that are born here due solely to an illegal action by the parent(s) to be a citizen.

    The Today Show had a segment this morning on Russian women who come to Miami on tourist visas to give birth. I guess it's a big status symbol back home. Part of the package they receive is staying at high end residential establishments. The ultimate irony is one of the most popular places to stay is Trump Tower.

    Doesn't getting a tourist visa mean you're legally here?

    Quite different from those that camp out just south of the border and sneak across when they get ready to doff off their load.

    2. my reference to the BofR was to snag the anti gunners who like to claim the 2nd is vague or that it refers to the national guard only.

    Most of us are citizens due to birthright citizenship. Our first ancestors to arrive in the U. S. probably did not become naturalized citizens because most first generation immigrants did not. But their children were citizens because they were born here and all of their descendants including us.

    Then you're an idiot. The authors of the 14A were speaking of political jurisdiction, not legal jurisdiction. When a child is born to a non-citizen, the child inherits the nationality of the mother and that is the country whose jurisdiction they are subject to.. THINK, america-hater.
