They weren't inspired to do anything after the election? If it took the march to motivate them it doesn't sound like they had much political interest. I find it hard to believe a person who would not normally vote would do so because of a march which would only appeal to those who already opposed Trump.
Nobody suggested it is wrong or unpatriotic to march and demonstrate (peacefully). Some of us just questioned whether the Women's March actually accomplished anything since nothing changed. I don't think you can compare it with the Vietnam marches (although it took years before the war ended). I certainly don't see anything accomplished by the Nazis or Occupy Wall Street. Even the Tea Party rallies consisted of people already sharing those beliefs who already voted regularly.
None of my comments are anti-march. But when a poster says if X happens people will take to the streets that does not necessarily mean it will have any impact. If millions took the street to march in favor of the tax law does that mean you would change your mind and favor it (assuming you opposed it)?
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.
