You have your argument wrong. Your argument is that this is a child of God, the supernatural supreme being and initial cause and creator, and it is therefore sacred at conception because you think he would think that. So don't bother messing with any nonsecular terminology at all.

Let's say the CDC is investigating whether a newly-discovered illness might be responsible for causing birth defects. Wouldn't you rather our scientists approach this in a clinical and scientific manner? The CDC doesn't deal with politics, abortion or your other emotionally-laden silliness. It is tasked with protecting public health.

I.e., Zika virus.... which has a deleterious effect on fetuses.
