"This result is not good for the president," said Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute. "Republicans have to be worried about being dragged down by the weight of Trump's negatives in 2018 if this trend continues."

The poll was released a day after Alabama Republican U.S. Senate nominee Roy Moore was upset by Democrat Doug Jones in a state that Trump carried with 62 percent of the vote in 2016. Trump strongly supported Moore in the race.

That was before he got into the White House. Now...'voters' simply won't bother to come out. They got their tax giveaway, so they have no more use for a bumbling idiot who is controlled by Putin.

That is a huge part of the battle. He needs to get about 15 percent more. With the voter repression and big money, he has most of the battle won.

give how he is incenting women and minorities to turn out against him thats not really true. Lets also keep in mind how the suburbs are turning against the republicans which was a big part of the vote in both Alabama, Virginia and NJ.

Trump still owns the ignorant and immature part of the electorate as these post demonstrate clearly. Childish insults and name calling is what they offer. Sad. The average person did not get a tax cut. The wealthy made out like the bandits they are. We are adding 2 trillion to the debt. Repubs pretend they care about that, but every Repub admin jacks it up, bigly.

Trump least popular first-year president EVER: poll

According to President Donald Trump, his administration has been one of the most successful in American history. But the public strongly disagrees.

The Republican Trump is now the least popular first-year president in the country’s history and a vast majority believes he has failed to keep the promises that won him the White House, according to two new Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research polls.

The results showed a poor approval rating for Trump. The president received a 32 percent rating, marking Trump as the least-popular commander-in-chief since approval ratings were recorded. Conversely, Trump received a 67 percent disapproval rating.

Those figures also included a “quarter” of Republicans disapproving of Trump’s first year in office, perhaps suggesting the billionaire’s hold on his base is slipping.
Trump’s approval rating has largely stayed in the 30s for months now. Both Monmouth University and the Reuters/Ipsos’ latest polls show a 33 percent approval rating and only two other major polls have notched the rating above 40 percent. RealClearPolitics’s current average sits at 37.2 percent approving compared to 58 percent disapproving.

In contrast, President Barack Obama began his first year in office with a 57.2 approval rating and began his second year at 46.7 percent, according to Gallup.

One problem is that any tax gains won't be realized until people file in early '19. That gives trump's klan a year to continue to lie about the way the tax giveaway will work. Of course, next year is going to be full of realizations that the hastily penned law is loaded with loopholes that were never intended.

In essence, they certainly did overhaul the system....for the worse.

Dems, on the other hand, will have all year to continue to point out the glaring flaws in the law, and unearth all the horrid mistakes that were made.

As millions see soaring health insurance premiums.

This will not bode well for Republicans.

The masses will not get a tax break. 13 million will lose their healthcare. How big a tax break needed to buy insurance? Even Bush was smarter than Trump. When he gave trillions to the upper class, he tossed a check to the people. You could actually see the money. A couple bucks off your weekly check are unnoticeable.
