Default Trump’s poll ratings approaching new historic low

WASHINGTON -- President Donald Trump's job approval rating dropped to a new low of 32 percent in a poll released Wednesday, a mark similar to President Richard Nixon's a year before the Watergate scandal forced his resignation.

Trump's disapproval rating of 56 percent in the Monmouth University poll is his highest since becoming president. In August, he had 41 percent approval and 49 percent disapproval ratings.

"This result is not good for the president," said Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute. "Republicans have to be worried about being dragged down by the weight of Trump's negatives in 2018 if this trend continues."

The poll was released a day after Alabama Republican U.S. Senate nominee Roy Moore was upset by Democrat Doug Jones in a state that Trump carried with 62 percent of the vote in 2016. Trump strongly supported Moore in the race.

Trump, GOP, agree to gut tax break

Nixon's approval rating in the Gallup poll dipped to 31 percent in August 1973. President Jimmy Carter reached 31 percent in October 1979, before Iranian hostage crisis. Nixon resigned a year later while Carter lost his re-election bid to Ronald Reagan in November 1980.https://www.rawstory.com/2017/12/tru...ing-watergate/

They make fun of you, fools. Each time Trump is in trouble, they release a poll to comfort you. To mitigate the tension. Poll is magical number in their hands. Trump is their baby, they won't let it below a margin. That's why you always saw a "new low" at same level.

This "new low" is not new. You saw it two months ago:
Poll Shows Trump Dipping to 32 Percent Approval
    •October 6, 2017

An Associated Press–NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll released on Friday found that President Trump has a 32 percent approval rating, with 67 percent of respondents disapproving of the job he’s doing as president. And it reported that only 67 percent of Republicans approve of his performance, down significantly from 80 percent in the same poll in March. It’s just one poll, and given its diversion from other relatively more Trump-friendly numbers, it may very well be an outlier. But a slide in Republican approval could spell big trouble for Trump, who has maintained popularity among his GOP base even as he alienates most of the rest of the country. Other polls have shown

I think that means every time trump sinks to a new low...they do another poll. It's the 'I can't believe he went there' polling

I have even noticed that some posters who were crowing about Trump's victory six months ago, giggling, and yukking it up about how they "stuck it" to Desh, or whatever....have gone radio silent....even into hiding!

What we are going to find in future years, are a who lot of erstwhile Trump voters who belatedly will claim they never supported Trump.

The same people who voted for Trump are still there. He is not losing his base. Trump said he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and not lose voters. He is correct.
