this should not have happened
she was NO threat and they knew it
Again, they didn't need to cuff the girl. But pretending it was because she was black is bullshit. You simply want to make this a race issue.
You have your head up your ass and simply don't care about the actual incident. Again... you just want to make this about race.
they didnt seem scared of her at all
why did they treat her like a perp?
Even in cases when the person needed to be cuffed, they use the same excuse. The first thing both Christie and evince considered was race. I dare say it was the only thing they considered. When they saw the girl was black, they determined, without knowing anything else, it was wrong and due solely to skin color.

Should the classmate of this 9 year old been addled?
I don't see "racial profiling". I see a chaotic scene where officers are looking for a murder suspect. And I don't see any articles with more details or timeframes.
I didn't see an "11" year old in that video. I doubt if the officer knew her age at the time...Odd time to be heading for the store, though. With police surrounding the house/in the alley...etc.
Did the family not know that they were searching for the auntie?

Nothing suggests they knew the cops were around before leaving the house, according to the police report... "As officers were setting up a perimeter, three females simultaneously exited the home, two adults and one 11 year old juvenile."
And I still fail to see what time has to do with it. It could be 6PM for all we know. The head cop admits his guys did the wrong thing, why can't you?
Btw, what "chaotic scene"?

Press Release: Internal Investigation Opened After Arrest of Attempted Murder Suspect
Grand Rapids, MI (December 11, 6:50 pm)
The Grand Rapids Police Major Case Team is currently investigating an attempted murder stemming from the December 6th domestic-related stabbing in the 1300 block of Hamilton Av NW. Once onscene, officers determined that the suspect fled the residence still armed with the knife. Their investigation led to a second Westside Grand Rapids home where it was believed the suspect may have fled to. As officers were setting up a perimeter, three females simultaneously exited the home, two adults and one 11 year old juvenile. Until it could be determined that the individuals were not the suspect, nor armed with a weapon, the three were ordered back to officers and detained.
The homeowner gave consent to search the home, and it was deemed that none of the three individuals that exited the home were the suspect officers were searching for nor was the suspect in the home. The females were subsequently released.
An additional nearby home was then checked and the suspect was located and arrested. The woman was charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, a warrant, and Resisting and Obstructing Arrest. The victim was treated at an area hospital for her injuries and has been released.
Following a complaint filed on behalf of the 11 year old female, the Grand Rapids Police Department opened an internal investigation which is still ongoing.
