If the Dems would offer to be part of the process a better bill could be passed.

But they are too busy posturing "da resistance" so it is what it is.
they were NEVER allowed in where the republicans were writing it asshole

not "erase" nobody is even talking a balanced budget anymore. all we are trying to do is slow the growth of debt.
Dems will never, ever accept any spending cuts. This is an attempt to grow revenue by locking in and hopefully expanding the GDP growth we've had under Trump

Please, do highlight what 'happened to wages' the last time.

Yes, it is a broad statement based on what is in the tax bill. Again, the vast majority of people use the standard deduction because their itemized isn't a better option. An increase in the standard deduction coupled with wider brackets at the lower end is going to cause more people to get away from paying federal income taxes. It is going to reduce the tax liability of the lower and middle income families.

Now, what do you have to show that this will hurt the lower and middle income families?

Trump offered. Schumer and company said they would not accept this - they wanted only middle class tax cuts.

The Dems don't control Congress -yet they want to set the agenda? that's not how it works.

If the Dems wern't so intent on "da resistance" we could have probably gotten a better bill

Sure it will all of you that think the government doesn't have enough money should just voluntarily send it more. Why is that so hard?

All you have to do is forgo any deductions you think you can take. It isn't so hard.

Me? I take every deduction and then some. I want the gobblement to have as little as my money as possible. I expect every other American to do the same. Of course I don't beg for more gobblement spending so.......

How about a President who campaigned saying it was destroying the Country but now is willing to add on another two trillion with a give away stimulus to rich individuals as himself?

that's the locals choice. I don't want to subsidize egregious NY and CA tax rates!

I think the property tax deduction stays too - and Fl has high property taxes -
but neither SALT or property taxes should be used to offset Fed tax burdens
whatever level they set SALT deductions at it doesnt affect 70% of america as they dont take it anyway.

The CBO is not a very good source. How many times have their projections been proven insanely wrong?
