if anything trump could have helped roy moore close the gap with reluctant moore supporters. He could have lost by more pts. There is no indiction to suggesttrump harmed moore. In fact given the exit data we have it either played no role or was slightly beneficial for roy. The deep state republicans blaming bannon are incorrect. Wishy washy republicans is what put moore in the grave.

But what a great step for AL. Obviously, a lot of this happened because of Moore - but they were talking about how much stronger the Democrats will be in AL going forward because of this. It was a real energizer for the party there, in a state that the national party usually ignores.

I don't give a shit about the Dem party as much as I rejoice in the hopes for a better future for our country. If Alabamans can reject a racist POS loser like Moore in favor of someone a tinier bit more progressive.... maybe there is hope for all of us.

don't be mad at cawacko ILA. I am not being facetious here... conservatives like cawacko and 3d are normies. They actually have hope in our system, and believe in the myth of the honorable politician and honorable institutions. You and I are far more cynical for that. They believe in what they are doing, they just lack the proper big picture view

I back my data up with facts. What do you have? Jones voters from their own mouths said trump wasn't a factor. Enthusiasm for moore was lacking. Of those that did vote for moore, 6 in 10 said they did it for trump. Ergo, the majority of people that voted for moore did so at least partially because of their support of trump, while jones voters voting for jones did so because of reasons other than trump entirely. The only conclusion you can draw from that is trump ultimately helped moore.
