I don't remember Too Fast For Love coming out but I was 11 years old when Shout At The Devil did and that album was unreal.

I never liked them but only because their singer is inferior to others in the genre.

Witness Klaus Meine, Ian Gillan, Don Dokken (pre smoking) Bruce Dickenson, Rob Halford. Vocally, that guy sounds like anyone's kid brother in comparison.
But I've always been attracted to insane technical prowess in anything. I know rock doesn't have to be that way, but if you are in that hyperbolic pseudo-operatic type
subgenre, you really do need to be good at it. He's not.

Never was a Crue fan. I was glad that the Seattle Grunge scene put a stake through the heart of the California hair bands.

I like both genres of rock.
I was actually more of an Iron Maiden - Priest rocker, than hair band metal. But Crue and Ratt were pretty cool in my book!

But, I gotta admit... Hair metal just got totally freakin' ridiculous by the late 1980s, with bands like Stryper, Winger and Nelson... need I say more? It was time for a change...and the groovy grunge bands were just the change I was looking for!
