The two conservatives that are my age that I regularly hang out with are both bronies. Maybe there's a clue there...

Just give it a try. Seriously. Give her a bit of time to create something, though. She's not as quick as she used to be...

Lol, that's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Since when have millennials and the vast majority of "people of color" ever NOT found the Republican party repulsive?

I've noticed that several liberals have a tendency to mention convenient "friends". Fowl isn't the only one doing it.

There are examples in this thread, Badguy's improbable tale of "conservative bronies" who just happen to "hang out with him" seems dubious at best,

I don't know about you, Topsy, but political opposites rarely "hang" in my experience.

I think it has to do with being a part of a counter-culture, kind of like punk music back in the 80s. An ex of mine had a brother that was also a brony, and at first I thought it was just an ironic thing but soon realized it's something more complicated.

My point was that maybe conservatism is seen as a counter-culture nowadays, and it kind of gives it that appeal of being against the grain of society.

Give it a try...Family, career, neighbors, pets, religion, weather, cookies, bathroom habits, toast, etc. If you have a scenario, she has a "story" to share...

Some truth here. Youth are ignorant. Was true when I was young, is true now. Amazing the loathesomeness doesn't shine through the alleged rive gouche aspect that might be appealing to pimply pastey angry white "spinal tap" lovin' kids. So the Nazis are the new boheniams? LMAO.
Not implausible though. Just disgusting. Your observation makes reason itself seem futile.
