As we are on the precipice of having tax cuts passed and signed by President Trump, I know that your hearts hurt. Being the deficit hawks that you are, you are massively concerned about adding to the national debt that Obama doubled during his two terms in office.

Of note, I have heard you all scream, wail and pound your fists that this tax cut will EXPLODE the debt by $1.5 trillion over 10 years

For the sake of argument let's assume that is true. That comes to $150 billion/year

For FY17 the Federal Gobblement confiscated $3.3 trillion from its citizens and it spent $3.98 trillion

That $150 billion represents 3.8% of FY17s federal outlays

So here is your thought experiment

Without touching the military, find $150 billion to cut in spending. Then you no longer have to worry about the debt or deficits and the problem is solved. I mean surely the federal gobblement can find 3.8% it can cut in spending can't it?

One good place to start would be Congressional slush funds to pay off accusers of sexual harassment.

I can only assume one of two things.

1) They didn't understand the directions.
2) Cutting spending is anathema to them

I can understand why you would not address what I posted. It destroys what you support.

Why should those living in society not contribute to it? Why should those that keep society going financially be forced to pay MORE so the freeloaders can continue to get a free ride? Why should someone UNWILLING to do for themselves be able to eat, have a place to live, be clothed, etc. if they're UNWILLING to contribute to the pot from which they draw?

In the red state where I live, the most effected would be the only blue district in the state. It's not surprise that it's the only district in the state where more than 20% use food stamps. It shouldn't surprise anyone that it's also over 60% black. In a neighboring state, the same type of thing applies. 2 districts where more than 20% use food stamps and they're both blue with a majority black population. Go ahead and cut it.

They can be poor enough where those responsible for themselves are forced to feed, house, clothe, etc. their sorry asses yet have enough money to buy all sorts of "necessities" like beer, cigarettes, and lottery tickets. If you're poor enough to where someone else has to be forced to meet your needs, you're too poor to afford those other things. If you can afford the latter, you don't need the former. If you can buy the latter but demand help on the former, you can fucking do without.

I personally know a woman that spends an estimated $900/mo on cigarettes alone that qualified for expanded Medicaid. She was also convicted of forging narcotics prescriptions which was her 2nd class c felony. The first was 20 yrs. ago for forging checks to support her cocaine habit .
