Kaepernick put nothing on the line, not for anyone. He should stick to donations, because he's no role model. In fact, our kids, especially our athletes, wouldn't think twice about taking a knee or sitting. Because that's not what you do when the anthem is played. We have all kinds of traditions. Oh, I'm quite sure he's black. He announces it, after all...I've heard the same things he says here for years and years. People just need to learn that it's not always about race. And that people need to learn to get along as people, not as colors. It's wonderful to be proud of your race and ethnicity. Embrace it. But that's very damaging when there's no way to communicate without having that be the only focus. It's not necessary to lead with race, and pepper the conversation with White this, black that... Something always goes wrong. What did MLK say? Judge people on the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.
