    Stores Had Disappointing January Sales

    NEW YORK (AP) — The nation's retailers delivered more evidence of a stumbling economy Thursday, as merchants reported their weakest January performance in nearly four decades, extending a malaise that has deepened since the holiday shopping season.

    lol at the dems who have been predicting recession for 5 years... it will be over before you know it.. recover by Q4.

    btw im going to go out on a limb and predict that we will have another recession after this one within next ten years.
    Q: Senator Obama, would you take the same pledge? No tax increases on people under $250,000?

    OBAMA: I not only have pledged not to raise their taxes, I've been the first candidate in this race to specifically say I would cut their taxes.
