Default Have liberals ever taken a Civil class?

I keep seeing liberals claiming Hillary won because she got 3 million more votes! Don't they understand we elect the president by the candidate who get's the most Electoral College Votes?

    You mean civics?

Of course - obviously, Trump is President. But Hillary did win the popular, by 3 million +. That really says something.

Not really. Clinton won Ca by over 4 million votes. Take that away and she loses the popular vote. Seems to me the system worked as designed. Under the popular system we would have a few heavy population centers and factions dictating the direction of the country.

I always find that argument to be pretty lame. I have actually heard righties say "take away CA and NY, and the coasts, and Hillary wouldn't have even come close!"

Having a popular vote winner wouldn't change things that much; just where the candidates campaign. There is still House & Senate representation, as well as all of the local & state gov't influence. It's not like middle America would be forgotten.

    People vote; dirt doesn't.

I have found the argument against the electoral college as a sign of one not ever having a civics or history class. NOt having an understanding of what the executive branch does or the purpose of the federal government.

You should change your motto from truthmatters to talking points matter.

How can you win something that doesn't play a role in the process?

The losing team in a football game might have more total yards of offense, more sacks on defense, more first down, more interceptions, etc. Unless they have the highest score, those stats mean nothing.

Continuing to bring up something that doesn't play a role in the process proves you don't understand the system nor know why it was put in place over 200 years ago.
