    Default Police in the news

A 10-year-veteran deputy of the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department was arrested in connection with engaging in sexual contact with two women inmates, officials announced Thursday.

Giancarlo Scotti, 31, a San Pedro High School graduate and current community resident, was arrested while on duty on suspicion of two counts of rape under the color of authority and two counts of oral copulation also under the color of authority.

A Yuma police officer has been arrested in California on a sexual assault charge.

Yuma Police spokeswoman Sgt. Lori Franklin said Monday the department was working to place 7-year veteran Jared Elkins on paid administrative leave after his arrest by San Diego police.

San Diego police were unable to immediately provide details of the Sept. 15 arrest.

San Diego County District Attorney's spokesman Steve Walker said records show Elkins was booked into jail on suspicion of rape by force or fear, forced oral copulation, misdemeanor sexual battery and making a criminal threat. He was released on $100,000 bail the day after his arrest and ordered to appear in court on Sept. 25.

The 33-year-old Elkins has not been formally charged.

Police in Oklahoma City fatally shot a man who was advancing toward them with a metal pipe as witnesses yelled that the man was deaf and could not hear them. Officers were responding to a hit-and-run accident.

Lt. Matthew Lindsey arrived and encountered 35-year-old Magdiel Sanchez, who was holding a 2-foot metal pipe with a leather loop in his right hand. Lindsey called for backup and Sgt. Christopher Barnes arrived.

Police ordered Sanchez to drop the weapon and get on the ground, Mathews said. Both officers had weapons drawn — Lindsey had a Taser and Barnes a gun. Sanchez was walking toward Barnes. Both officers fired their weapons at the same time.

I didn't know that deaf people are unable to see police badges and think their disability forces them to menace uniformed, armed police with lengths of pipe.

    you fucking dipshit
A sad commentary on we, as a people, and our viewpoint of our freedom can be summed up like this. We have liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, yet those very people look at Constitutionalists as radical and extreme.................so those liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans must believe that the constitution is radical and extreme.

I'd say that if you're deaf and advance toward uniformed police training weapons on you while holding a length of pipe that you're dumb, too. And dead.

    Try it sometime and see.

is it then your contention that if one doesn't automatically drop to their knees in submission and worship uniformed police, that they risk being killed because they are 'uppity'?

the cop cock you've been sucking on must have destroyed your sense of freedom.

It really isn't about "police", is it?

Are you pretending that you'd let someone advance close to you holding a length of pipe while you had them in your sights?

It's almost certain that someone who feels entitled to walk toward an armed pair of men (that are plainly training weapons on him) while holding a length of pipe is not going to enjoy the result of their stupidity.

If the poor guy was blind instead of deaf, you might have a point.

    Since he wasn't, you don't.
