No, her campaign was lackluster due to reasonable overconfidence against a horrible opponent and a grievous overestimation of the intelligence and morality of the right.

Basically Hillary thought she could mail it in, so she played not to lose, doing little. It was probably sound advice. The gods of chaos had other ideas. The Republican party should be a registered hate group.

I really don't see how it could've been anything but lackluster. That book she wrote before the campaign should have been a good preview had anybody bothered to read it.

Agreed. They certainly hated Trump and hrc. They still hate Trump (and hrc, but she's irrelevant).

    what? how was it lackluster?

She got prominent republicans to defect at critical times. Had the bushes say that they were not voting for Trump and there was even a republican spoiler candidate in mcmullin. In addition she was able to engineer the access hollywood tape to come out at just the right time. Even had the FBI using language consistent with her campaign branding for the email scandal.

She did a lot of things very well. You may consider these things "dirty tricks" but it is one advantage of those well entrenched in the Washington dc establishment.

Tsuke - look no further than the reactions on this thread, from both left & right. You're not convincing anyone.

It's rare that we get a pretty firm national, bipartisan consensus on anything - but everyone agrees that Clinton's campaign was bad.

im serious. She had good "dirty tricks" or whatever you want to call that departnment and her message was a message that she had pretty much no choice but to run on.

Seriously if she said obama did anything wrong it would be racist! brother thing.

Nah - it was a terrible campaign. No one says otherwise.

Your thread & claim to the contrary just show how narrow your prism is.

Why was it a terrible campaign? She had no coherent message. Her positions on the issues offered no innovation or creativity - just recycled party platform platitudes and generalities. She focused much of her public rhetoric on Trump's negatives, rather than offering a competing vision for voters. "I'm with her" was a ridiculously lame & generic slogan. Once Access Hollywood happened, her entire strategy was focused on running out the clock. She didn't tackle the email issue head on & honestly, which allowed it to linger for the entire campaign. She didn't campaign in key areas of the country that she took for granted and ended up losing by the thinnest margins.

I could do this all day, tsuke. Your POV is not grounded in any kind of reality.

again her message was continue what were doing and the other guy is crazy. She cant have any other message without putting down obama. That is the standard message for a candidate pushing the status quo which is what a third termer is arguing for.
