Then I guess what you do is what some call virtue signaling. Because the only people I hear equating the 8,000 White Nationalists in the USA with genocidal WWII Nazis are bed-wetting leftists. Criticizing them doesn't require making such an absurd equivalency.

Who was claiming that they have power? The real point is that Nazis had the gall to show their faces in public, and that others defended them wanting to keep a statue honoring an enemy general in public. And, no one seems to care that they murdered someone.

Well, the left claims Trump needs them.

You're position on this is indistinguishable from the hardcore left. I say 'hardcore' because the left is solidly behind the erstwhile Nazis, Antifa. That makes the left as harcare as Antifa.

Since you're so familiar with the Nazis, I'm sure you recall how Hitler's thugs would shut down the opposition with violence.

Say what you will about the Charlottesville Nazis, but they weren't there to shut anyone down. In fact, one could argue they got out-Nazi'd by Antifa.

You don't allow that the opposing argument is legitimate. Some people [a majority if you believe the polls] believe the statues have at least some historical import. Just because someone holds that opinion doesn't make them a Nazi sympathizer.

And if you think this country has that many Nazi sympathizers, I feel bad for you. I'd consider moving somewhere else, in fact.

People over there are weary of the 'template response' from their politicians every time an Islamist goes on a murderous rampage in their streets.

Though Trump didn't have his facts right, they are understandably hungry for a little more fire in the belly when it comes to their leaders response.

    Europe is ahead of us.
He "didn't have his facts right" is a nice way of covering up that he's a congenital liar. I expect more of the president, any president. I am tired to the bone of having to source all of trump's comments and then find that 90% or more of them are outright lies. I know it, you know it. The Dems know it, the GOP knows it.

He can bash Islamist terrorism any way he wants as long as he's being truthful. Truth isn't enough for trump even if he knows it. He lives for throwing gas on the fire.

The bolded is spot on. It's funny to hear his supporters gloss over that. Anatta said that Trump is "sloppy with his facts."

You and others keep focusing on the violence between the two groups. I am focusing on their ideologies. For some reason that's getting lost in the noise. There is nothing decent and respectable about neo-Nazis. That's why antifa will always have the higher ground.

Again I condemn violence by antifa or any group because I don't think violence is the answer to anything. But it's a specious argument to put both groups on the same level.

Anatta, we're talking about someone who literally has no credibility. And he brought that on himself. If there is a topic or issue, I'd bet good money that Trump has lied about it at some point. It's what he does.

Who cares about the solid ideas behind MAGA when Trump will say literally anything? Why do you still trust what he says...why did you ever?
