Thing1 couldn't have voted for Kasich. Kasich withdrew from the process on May 4.

The post is ignorant many ways at once. Was it seminal and better than no voting and a monarchy and therefore revolutionary political thought implemented? Hell yes. But one man one vote it was not.
THE BIG QUESTION? "IF" THE FOUNDERS OF THIS NATION DID NOT ESTABLISH A SYSTEM WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR "EQUALITY".....JUST HOW IS IT THAT WOMEN AND MINORITIES ARE EQUALLY REPRESENTED TODAY?

Do you know your "history actual"? Apparently not....you know "propaganda". There is not one civil right that exists in this nation that did not come directly from those you are now claiming do not support equal voting rights...when in reality it was the "republican...conservative party" that championed the equal rights of all Americans...minorities and women were granted the right to own property and vote while the democrat party fought against these equal rights for almost a century before the REPUBLICAN STATES began (one by one) to grant women and minorities the right to vote and own property forcing the federal representatives to finally pass an amendment by a super majority granting women the right to vote at the federal level.

Nor do you comprehend the historical fact that this nation was founded upon a TRUTH, "ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL and endowed (by God) with certain unalienable rights (non-transferable by any court or person)...among them the right to life, liberty and the (individual) pursuit of happiness.

Why then did slavery exist in the United States well past the middle of the 19th century? TRUTH: The majority of the American People "wanted slavery to exist". The truth upon which this nation was founded (equality for all men/women) did not turn into a lie because "society" wanted the trading and owning of flesh to continue.

FYI: The system worked. When society "evolved" and realized that slavery was wrong and unjust....slavery ended. The truth never evolved, what was true 250 years ago is just as true today, or it was never truth to begin with, TRUTH DOES NOT EVOLVE, society does, men's idea of morality might evolve...but truth never did.

As far as attempting to blame Conservatives for hindering any movement of civil rights...history proves you are barking up a false tree at a false premise. The democrats fought tooth and nail to stop slavery from ending, they fought tooth and nail to stop women from voting and owning property, and they stalled the civil rights bill in in 64 with the longest filibuster in US HISTORY. FACT: There were more Conservatives that voted for the 1964 Civil Rights Act than democrats (who finally were forced to vote).

The Republican party had the first Black Representative decades before the democrat party sought to have a token black run for any political seat of power......a "House Niger" is how Malcolm X described those blacks used by a political party in the quest to get Blacks to change their voting habits. Blacks by majority historically supported the Republican Party until they were bribed to vote democrat first by FDR and then Again by LBJ.

Truth is truth. Bullshit is bullshit. Do you know the last politician that held a seat in the senate and the KKK did not die until 2010? What party did that former KKK leader represent? THE DEMOCRAT PARTY....Robert KKK Byrd.

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/10/politi...cts/index.html

Again....there is not "one" civil right that exists in this nation that did not come about by a super majority support of THE PEOPLE of the United States....it takes both republicans and democrats to pass an amendment that requires a super majority ratification.

The Constitution Works....it evolves when the majority of the people want it to evolve...its the only way it can be in a Democratic REPUBLIC. There is now nor never was anything wrong with the system, it was designed by geniuses...it was designed to evolve when society was ready for the changes.

There is no such animal as is claimed by liberals.....a tyrannical MAJORITY, (this is a representative REPUBLIC...NOT A DEMOCRACY...the majority always establishes and reflects the morality and the laws of this REPUBLIC) as it was a MAJORITY that brought about all the civil rights that exist in this REPUBLIC. Both phrases, tyrannical majority and separation of church and state are nothing but left wing buzz words, propaganda that finds no place in the actual history of record as recorded in the actual wording of the Constitution or following bill of rights. If these principles exist anywhere other than the communist manifesto....show them to me in the actual history of this nation.

What I find strange.....is the liberal buzz words, TYRANNICAL MAJORITY were never whispered in the 2016 general election. No...quite to the contrary, they cried and cried about how superior they were because more people live in California and NY and voted Hillary into power and she is the rightful (leftful) potus. Where was the tyrannical majority when the democrats marched upon DC claiming because they had more people...they were RIGHT...err...LEFT?

That's the way it works...its the reality that exists when you stand for nothing and support whatever position YOU THINK might get you elected regardless of your personal bias and the number of hypocrites within the party.

This ignoramus doesn't even know the most basic facts. We on this forum know more than he does about the Constitution and how government works. trump is Dumb Dumb Dumb. With a capital "D".

"...during Tuesday's town hall interview on CNN, Donald Trump – no mere citizen but the leading presidential candidate in the Republican Party – revealed once again his knowledge deficit about our political system. For those who skipped that middle hour of nonsensical rhetoric, an Army veteran and current Marquette University student asked an important, albeit simple question, "What are the top three functions of the United States government?"

Trump was stumped. With the exception of national security, he couldn't seem to think of what other key duties were within the federal government's purview. What about promoting justice (equality under the law), encouraging interstate commerce and managing our international relations? What about, in language more common among the framers, ensuring "domestic tranquility"?

Simply put, he seemed to not understand that when our government was established, it had only three cabinet departments – Defense (War), State and Treasury – because these are the feds' main jobs: conducting war, promoting peace and encouraging prosperity.

Further, the other two functions that Trump named – health care and education – are not only not central to the national government's mission, but they are generally understood, by an overwhelming majority of conservatives, to be activities that fall within the states' police power. In other words, Trump's answers showed that his political ideology is much closer to Democratic presidential hopeful and independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders than to former President Ronald Reagan.

Perhaps, it shouldn't be surprising. Throughout his campaign and without much consequence, Trump has been dismissive of separation of powers, civil liberties and civil rights. In fact, the only time he has really been pressed on constitutional issues was when he was forced to walk back his bluster earlier this month, after he had wrongly assumed that a president could order the military to torture prisoners of war."

Obama wasn't qualified to do anything. He was elected for being black which led to the biggest clusterfuck of a presidency in history.

Another one playing the race card. Color me unsurprised.

Does that mean trump's cult voted for him because he's orange?

If he was elected for "being black" then it does beg the question - why hadn't any other political party in the US realised that the American public were so willing to overlook every possible political objection and succumb to their, well documented, weakness for electing black people to political office?

What a huge pile of horse shit.

Up until now, GWB's tenure in office was the biggest clusterfuck of a Presidency in history.

But Trump is well on his way to eclipsing Bush's eight years in less than one.

Obama was a Godsend to this nation.

    And you know it.

You're such a dishonest p.o.s...... read the comments in question, dummy.

christie: Can you give specific examples of how unis push a liberal agenda? I sure don't recall that from my college days.

Pimp: how about Berkley prohibiting conservative speakers?.....

I know it's tough for your tiny brain to comprehend but both sides prohibit speakers. And if prohibiting is how unis push a liberal agenda, then the same applies to how unis push a con agenda.
