I admit that I often times wish he would lay off some of the tweeting, however, maybe there is a method to his madness.
Remember all that he tweeted about Comey? Well, it forced Comey's hand. He had to testify in front of Congress and had no choice but to tell the truth lest he perjure himself. Had Trump let Comey stay on, he would have been besieged with leaks from Comey.
The press goes into high alert over every tweet, but they don't get to filter them. They merely can respond to them like Pavlov's dogs.

This is very interesting. I also have been critical of Trump's tweeting, but this is the first time I've heard a valid point for that.
Good stuff.
Free speech is cool as long as it jibes with our program.

I don't think either his followers or detractors realize just how savvy this guy is. He's been inside of the mainstream TV/ Hollyweird crown for a long time, and he knows their language and its nuances. Thus he knows how to use it all against them.
Unlike past presidents who mostly chose to distance themselves from the regular folks in order to create some sort of aura, he's right in there.
