For the first time in a long time you have said something I agree with.

Why on earth would any parent allow their child to go to North Korea? Don't get me wrong, this is a tremendous tragedy, but what did they think would happen? Could they have been lied to in their college educations about socialism? Could it be that they have been taught that socialism is a wonderful construct?

This was a horrendously sad event. Otto wasn't a child. I think he was 20 at the time he decided to go. N.K. is ruled by a Marxist and why anyone would want to go there is beyond me. Does anyone here know what the charges are against the other 3 Americans who are imprisoned there?

Just hours after Warmier was convicted, Obama issued an executive order imposing sanctions on North Korea and various industries within the country.

Ned Price, one of Obama's former advisers, says Obama had "no higher priority" than securing the release of Americans detained overseas but North Korea's isolation "posed unique challenges."

He also says Obama "worked through every avenue available" to try to secure the release of Warmbier.

Obama's efforts secured the release of at least 10 other Americans from North Korea, and the efforts to get Warmbier home never ceased.

And told his family to keep their mouths shut.

Now, if this were a thuglet who attacked a police officer, he'd have pressers every day.
