Trump is such a joke, Groening wrote a Simpson's episode featuring Trump becoming President and it turned out the ludicrous episode was precient. A freaking farce in which a comic critic scoured the deepest recesses of his mind for the metaphysically and absolutely most detestable possible person fathomable.... yes, was actually elected by Republicans. Life imitating art, in this case, Republicans imitating a satirical nightmare cartoon, and thus becoming one.

Trump is why Trump's #'s are low. He has a majority in Congress - a true leader could marshall that kind of resource. But he has established a contentious relationship with basically everyone who he needs to get anything done. He tries to lead through fear & intimidation rather than cooperation & consensus-building.

And he doesn't understand Washington. That much is clear at this point. You all thought that would be a plus, but then we get the whole "who knew healthcare could be so complicated" thing.

And a very big part of his low #'s is Trump himself. He's a crass, self-obsessed boor, and refuses to give up his childish antics on twitter and elsewhere. He said he could be "so Presidential" when he just turned the switch, but have we even seen a moment of that?

People do not like Trump. It's not why I'm one of those who doesn't fully want the economy to do well. I hope the economy goes gangbusters. I don't think it will matter either way for Trump's re-election efforts.

Trump did a lot of lobbying,and finally got it done -so how is it Trump's fault the Senate won't touch it?

Trump was never popular nationally - you can try to scapegoat it on whatever you want.

He won the election because he happened to be running against a candidate w/ negatives as high as his. But people do not like Trump, regardless, and never have.
