Default Trump wants to impose work requirement for food stamp users

Unfortunately it will not apply to welfare queens with dependent kids which just encourages black women to continue dropping bastards well into their 50s.!!!

    http://nypost.com/2017/05/22/trump-w...d-stamp-users/

may 22 2017 The Trump administration wants to impose a work requirement on able-bodied adults who receive food stamps and force states to pick up some of the costs as part of a wider plan to slash spending by $3.6 trillion over the next decade.

Budget director Mick Mulvaney said that once states have “a little skin in the game,” they will be more inclined to root out abuses and waste in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

Overall, the Trump administration wants to squeeze out about $193 billion from SNAP over 10 years.

To do so, President Trump wants able-bodied adults without dependent children to work for their food stamps, Mulvaney said.

It does sound logical to me but its never really been done. So what is the counter argument? Why not do this?

What do food stamps amount to in terms of a wage? Seems like virtual slavery and perpetual poverty to me.

Agree. Better to be rid of it altogether.

States have already been moving in that direction, nothing new here.

Without a social safety net, crime exponentially increases. You become less safe and you pay more to the government to keep the chronically poor in cages. Canada is experimenting with eliminating welfare in certain areas, but they're replacing it with a minimum income for all citizens of certain towns (like 20k a year).

I agree with your statement that it's virtual slavery and perpetual poverty. A degrading and soul killing lifestyle. Working for a living gives a person a sense of worth.

Working for food stamps is almost as degrading as being Sean Spicer.

    so you should not work?

Its very hard to get back into a work lifestyle after being unemployed for a while at least this keeps people active.

I strongly believe in mandatory back-to-work programs. Social programs that actually help and not punish the poor and kick them while they're down.

Safety nets are for catching a person when they fall. They're not for living in. Then they climb out of the net, walk on and go about their business. Besides, most of those living in a safety net are already criminally involved anyway. It requires taking responsibility for one's self. It requires a lifestyle change. Stop trying to have things you can't afford, like children.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.
