    There is that too. Something to consider is that Rome conquered Britain, Spain, egypt, and parts of the middle east yet could not conquer Germany which for all intents and purposes was their next door neighbor.

    Germans are good at killing. It would be interesting to see history if someone like Trajan had successfully led a genocidal campaign into Germania, the way Caesar handled the Gauls.

    Ceasar could have gone to Germania but decided on the gauls instead. I think he had one battle against them and won but afterwards decided the rhine would be the border. I think he realized how tough they were
