By walking it back. Do you have a filter for the news that only let's pro-Trump stuff get through?

Nunes backed off the assertion that Trump officials were monitored by the IC.

But that's a straw man: unmasking US citizens from raw intelligence is a felony.

    You disagree with the law?

You can only pardon people for something that's pardonable. Obama did not commit a crime no matter how much you hope for it.

A felony was committed. Why do I get the idea you'd be less supine about it if you thought Trump could be behind it instead of the previous administration?

Don't tell me, I already know! Lol
What was your position on the unmasking of Valerie Plame?

Section 702 (look at this horror show)
    https://www.justsecurity.org/39226/i...ling-legality/
This low standard is compounded by an extremely broad definition for “foreign intelligence information.” It goes well beyond information relevant to counterespionage, national security and defense. It also includes information relevant to the “foreign affairs” of the United States. This can result in surveillance that targets academics, lawyers, businesspeople, and activists abroad, and thus, far-reaching incidental collection of Americans’ communications.

Former CIA officer Col. Tony Shaffer said the basics of President Trump's claim to have been "wiretapped" are likely true, and that the incident is "worse than Watergate."

Noting it has been exactly two weeks since Trump tweeted that President Obama wiretapped his namesake tower, Shaffer said the "basic fundamental idea and claim is true."

He said that Trump was not physically wiretapped, with a wire into his phone, and it may not have physically been Trump Tower, but his campaign apparatus instead.

Shaffer said that due to the simplicity required to "mask" an American's name during an incidental wiretap, that the leak of Gen. Michael Flynn's name was "accidental on purpose."

"Clearly they were after gossip because it was political," Shaffer said, maintaining that the alleged wiretap had nothing to do with Russia.

The "political appointees" in the intelligence community knew exactly what they were surveilling for, Shaffer said, adding that the case is "much worse than Watergate by an order of magnitude."

He said that even if the surveillance was done legally, the "unmasking" of Americans' names and the leaking of the information are felones.

Shaffer added that Trump's references to battling the "intelligence community" likely meant those political appointees involved in the alleged surveillance, and not the CIA or NSA writ large.

And worse yet Rachel Madcow proved that Trump actually pays taxes

Oh MY GAWD the excuses and the spinning you Trumpkins are putting on this in your desperation to "get" Obama.

So let me see if I have this straight.

According to Col Shaffer, even though Trump stated quite clearly: "Just found out that Obama had my wires tapped in Trump Tower just before the victory."

Trump didn't mean himself specifically, nor did he mean the ACTUAL Trump Tower...even though he said JUST THAT.

yes folks, they will say ANYTHING to cover for their messiah.
What kind of country have we become?

One in which federal prosecutors can take “evidence” before a “grand jury,”

and that grand jury can “vote to indict” a former president for 91 alleged “crimes”?

AND THAT is the part of this "scandal" that not a single JPP Trumpkin will address.

That's the beauty of lowering the classification of raw intelligence: you can keep your hands clean.

What's the spin on Obama doing that right before he left office?
