I'd like to tell myself that. More likely, I probably became a lefty for the sex, drugs, and rock and roll! (j/k)
No, I did that too. Voted for Poppy Bush too. I switched to the Dems in 2004 over Iraq but that was just the straw that broke the camels back.

Well, if there were any truth to this laughable statement, you wouldn't have voted for Obama or Hillary. I am betting that you did. Hypocrite.

Now you just engage in flat out lies; typical with the whiney hypocritical left. The notion that a successful businessman who has made billions and gone to Warton School of Business can't read is laughably stupid and false.

You liberals love making yourselves look like the pathetic jackasses that represents the party of the Jackass don't you?
Funny you should mention my voting record, as I voted for neither Obama or Crooked Hillary. I've mentioned this more than a few times, and even posted a photo of my ballot checked for Evan McMullin, but, you're far too stupid to recall minor details. There are plenty of Trumptards, such as Tsuke, who did vote for Obama (twice!), so, you're in excellent company.

Now, you speak of the Jackass Party, named after Andrew the Jackass, but love a man who is considered to be most like the Jackass. Why, he's even a major douchebag.

You keep listening to Trump speeches, and tell me that he grasps the English language. As for lies, tell us again which country Obama was born in.

Interesting. The Iraq War seems certainly to be a watershed moment for our generation. A time when one could either make the right decision....or the catastrophically wrong decision.

I think I gravitated towards the GOP in the 1980s because of my father's influence. I come from a line of Russian white émigrés...monarchists and nostalgic tsarists to a person, and fanatically anticommunist of course. I believe to them GOP was thus perceived as the more viable "anti communist" party to them. Ronald Reagan's anti-communism was certainly held up as a model for me.

In maturing, I obviously realized simply being sufficiently anti-communist was not really a tangible philosophy.

I believe the noted author Anton Chekhov articulates one aspect of a liberal philosophy, which to me is not only self evident but eminently moral:

“In my opinion it is harmful to place important things in the hands of philanthropy, which in Russia is marked by a chance character. Nor should important matters depend on leftovers, which are never there. I would prefer that the government treasury take care of it.” - Anton Chekhov

You mean these Democrats that said what Bush said BEFORE Bush was President but were considered lies only when Bush said them?
