In some ways, I'm probably to the Right of you on these issues. In theory only, those who get a full ride with govt. benefits should not be allowed to smoke cigs, have pets, etc.
In practice I know it isn't possible, or even right. Further, I can't see the wisdom behind pot testing, as it doesn't take into account the fact that a neighbor can stop by with a joint once in awhile, and screw up a test. I estimate that 75% of govt aid is going to people who are scamming. I know plenty of them where I live. That also includes a wave of scam 'doctors' who bill Medicare/Caid illegally. Several have been in the news.
To the topic of availability of health insurance, the answer is simple. The hard part is getting the lobbyists out of Congress. We don't need a single payer system. We need a public option, and nothing else. If CEOs want to keep Cadillac care, more power to them. I want the chance to purchase low cost health coverage from the system with the lowest operating costs. The Big Ins. lobby won't allow that to happen. Why wouldn't the House just pass that, and move forward as necessary? It actually solves the Medicare funding problems.
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
Inability to pay medical bills is the top cause of bankruptcy in the US.
*Medical Expenses
A recent Harvard University study showed that medical expenses account for approximately 62 percent of personal bankruptcies in the US. Interestingly, the study also showed that 72 percent of those who filed for bankruptcy due to medical expenses had some type of health insurance, thus debunking the myth that only the uninsured face financial catastrophes due to medical-related expenses.

You a lying piece of shit
1) if you are in a car accident your medical expense are covered by auto insurance. Period.
2) if you are out of work, you will most likely be covered by disability if your injuries are bad enough and if your employer qualifies you are covered by FMLA for 12 weeks and your employer CANNOT fire you while on FMLA. After the 12 weeks you are subject to termination
You are such an uninformed twat. Just accept your beating
