    a) Thanks for the scoop.

    b) I took Saturday off, regarding my otherwise 24/7 news vigil. So I didn't know if this topic was perhaps satirical -fake news- about -fake news- or something.

    c) Nope!
I checked GoogleNews, and it's their lead story:

Trump bails on White House Correspondents' Dinner
    Politico
President Donald Trump announced Saturday that he will not attend the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner in Washington, D.C.

Trump will not attend the White House correspondents' dinnerWashington Post

If you don't mind my feeble attempt at analysis here:

Has Trump not just recently announced that these fake news organizations are the enemies of the People?

Well if so, one of two things is true.

    1) Trump is right, they are the enemy of the People, but our commander in chief, the guy that commands ST6, the 82nd Airborne division, and the United States Marine Corps doesn't have the spine to face a bunch of kids with pen & paper, in the dining room, an IDEAL opportunity to dress them down for it - OR -

    2) Trump is wrong, & Trump is just a coward.

    Is there another explanation?

    I think it's simply a case of he's a humorless asshole.

Think about it... have you ever heard Trump make a joke or a witty or light-hearted remark?

Obama used to do it fairly often. So did Clinton and both Bushes.

Hell, even guys like Bob Dole and John McCain have been known to occasionally make a little pun here and there.

But not Trump. Never. Unless it's to make some disparaging comment about someone he doesn't like.

He can't stand to hear jokes made about him though.

Because he's a thin-skinned, insecure little man who has no sense of humor.

We've never had a President like this.

They showed a clip of JFK the other night, being asked about the press, and it was such a contrast. A man totally comfortable in his own skin - saying it was sometimes hard, but praising what he called an "adversarial" press and how important they were to democracy.

Carter, Reagan, Clinton, both Bushes, Obama - all knew who they were, and had self-esteem & confidence. Trump is like a whimpering puddle of a man by comparison.

Trump doesn't strike me as light-hearted either.
In fact, the only times I recall Trump ever smiling is when his ego is being stroked, as in audience applause.

But this just seems cowardly to me.

    a) He calls them the enemy of the People, and then

    b) Trump hides from them, a stunt Google reports hasn't occurred in decades.

He can't stand to hear jokes made about him though.

Trump's ego is quite fragile. It's amazing what price he's willing to pay to indulge it.

"Hell, even guys like Bob Dole and John McCain have been known to occasionally make a little pun here and there."

The elder President Bush's broccoli speech is one of my all time favorite comedy speeches by a politician. It's excellent.

And though YOU are willing to expose these "sick bastard" "fake newsers" where only a few will ever know you did so by posting here,
you do NOT want all these "sick bastard" "fake newsers" exposed from the bully pulpit, where literally billions could know.

" it makes my week "

the press are globalist shills. Trump is the first person to take on the deep state. They seek to undermine him over every little thing. How many americans do you think know that obama deported 2.5 million people? What would the reaction be if trump said he wanted to deport 2 million people as president? shock, dismay, and a major reefest. The next hitler, the deporter in chief. People believe what the shill media and deep state tell them. IF obama deports 2.5 million it's ok, if Trump deports it's because he hates all minorities and is trying to divide us lol.

this isn't republican vs. democrat or liberal vs. conservative. It is the deep state vs. the people. The deep state killed democracy long ago. Our American Idol election is all a sham. You either suck the deep state dick or they will take you down. The NSA is our enemy. The CIA and their fake wars are our enemy. I am redpilled. FUCK THE DEEP STATE

"Trump is the first person to take on the deep state." K #9

    What about Limbaugh?

"They seek to undermine him over every little thing."

You're welcome to quote 3 examples. "Words mean things." Rush Limbaugh

Perhaps K #9 you're nearly as delicate as our president.

Believe it or not, the press has been commenting on America's leader since his name was "King George III".

    They did so for Washington.
And they've done so for every president since.
You would have them make an exception for your lapdog Trump?

"They seek to undermine him over every little thing."

You're welcome to quote 3 examples.

I stopped watching American "news" long ago. It's been entertainment , not news for years now, first brought to our attention by the movie Broadcast News.

How can it entertain if you don't watch?

Keep your friends close, your enemies even closer. - unknown

Monitoring modern media is a skill.

To do so with the unfiltered naïvety of an uneducated child would be to drink the kool aid.

But the sophisticated adult mind should understand that it's a competitive world.

Any status quo has its supporters / defenders. And what status quo does not have an agenda?

I monitor "news" feeds not to be fed "the truth", but instead to maintain current insight into how the ongoing propaganda war between the competing agenda is progressing.

I'm far from convinced burying your head in the sand is the path to safe, secure enlightenment.
Instead, it seems like surrender to me, relinquishing control to those whose interests conflict with your own.
