Polls: Support for Obamacare at all-time high
Support for Obamacare is at an all-time high, according to two surveys released this week as Republican leaders continue to press the case for repeal amid fierce resistance at many town halls.
The latest Health Tracking Poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation found that 48% of Americans view the law favorably, compared to 42% who have an unfavorable view. This is the highest level of favorability measured in more than 60 Kaiser Health Tracking Polls conducted since 2010.
The boost comes largely from independents, half of whom view Obamacare favorably compared to 39% who don't. Nearly three-quarters of Democrats continue to view it favorably, while about the same share of Republicans have an unfavorable view.

What raises the red flags (irony noted) is the Republican methodology:
a) Repeal ACA first: TOP PRIORITY
b) Then, later on, replace it with something -better-.
The Republicans are just full of those aggrandizing adjectives. Trump is going to "Make America Great Again". That will be some feat, as we were the greatest nation on Earth throughout the 8 year Obama administration.
The Republicans are clearly in disarray on it. I'm not sure Spicer, Ryan, McConnell etc have the same thing in mind at all.

For those trying to keep score at home, the Republican strategy intended by our congressional Republican leadership is:
1) Take away ACA first, thereby driving up demand.
2) Then after the need intensifies, slip in something different.
I have no proof they will.
But if they do, I have no proof it'll be significantly better.
In any case, if they really wanted to BENEFIT the tax payer, why not implement the Republican plan, and during the overlaps, allow the citizen to decide if they want Obamacare, or Trumpcare?
You know why the Republicans aren't doing it that way as well as I do. If they did, it would expose Republicans to being bested by Obama yet once again. And they've gotten tired of that.

Republicans may claim massive victory.
BUT !!
It's a thin and fragile victory at that.
a) Trump lost the vote. It's the election he won.
b) Recent polls indicate President Trump's national support started at or near record lows, and has been plummeting since.
c) On congressional cooperation, the current thought is that Speaker Ryan and ML McConnell may cooperate w/ Trump where their intentions overlap. Where they do not, it seems the old guarde are prepared to block Trump.
