John F. Kennedy: What Would He Think of His Party?

They showed a clip of Kennedy tonight - he was talking about how valuable an aggressive media is, during a time when the media was really critical of him. He was talking about what a disadvantage someone like Khruschev had for not having that kind of watchdog press.

It was such a contrast. A guy who was completely secure w/ who he was, compared to Trump, a guy who is truly one of the most insecure & thin-skinned leaders we've ever had.

If the media had been as intrusive then as they are now, then his goose would have been well and truly cooked. Just the story that he was sharing Marilyn Monroe with his brother would have been enough!!

Thus far, of the three black presidents we've had, their black composition consists of the following:
Bill Clinton - 0%
Warren G. Harding - 25%
Barack Obama - 50%

JFK's Catholicism probably falls somewhere between Clinton and Harding's percentage of black ethnicity.

Maybe JFK would be an Independent, in the vein of Bill O'Reilly? Both have traditional Catholic values, don't always live up to them, but still attest to the goodness of them. Both look at the value of getting things done for the good of the country and the "common man" when it gets down to it. However, maybe it's just me, but party identity seems very important to the Kennedy's who continued on in public life after his death, as opposed to all of them having a clear and consistent set of values. So, it's very possible that he would've regressed along with the modern Democratic Party, adopting whatever issues became vogue in the media and creating/adopting new "victim" classes to add into their party, just as many of the most prominent Democrat politicians have done recently. But one thing is for sure, if JFK suddenly landed in 2017 and saw what today's Democrats were like, he'd probably be shocked.
